I’m ashamed to say I haven’t posted on my blog since March, although in my defence, it has been a particularly hectic time!
APRIL – JUNE
Of course my day job and passion is designing, and sourcing and developing new yarns is also a year round pursuit, but I’m very much involved when it comes to photographing the collections too, and April through to the beginning of June saw us shooting for Autumn Winter 20017/8.
Hard at work on the single leaflet shoot!

Aymara
On location shooting the collection for my new yarn Aymara. The backdrop of lakes, bullrushes and woods was perfect to showcase the sporty knits for men, women and children. More news on all my new yarns in my next blog.
By contrast, an interior shoot for my new Pure Bliss yarn, Iris, created a soft, sophisticated but cosy mood.

APRIL – CREATING WITH COLOUR WORKSHOP
In conjunction with Arena Travel, Designer Yarns, Black Sheep Wools and Immediate Media , I headed to Harrogate in April to host a weekend workshop. The theme was Creating With Colour, taking inspiration from Yorkshire, both Rural and Industrial. The work created by the knitters was truly impressive. Thank you to everyone who came and to all those that made it happen. Here are some examples of the remarkable projects, but you can see more on my Pinterest board.

JUNE – FLORENCE
More recently, my daughter Nell and I went to Florence for Pitti Filati, the international textile and knitwear industry trade fair. There we met up with the Italian manufacturers and discussed new yarns for Autumn Winter 2018/9, it was also a good opportunity to check out the trend predictions.
